Belarus is a global leader in tax burden

Belarus took the last 183 place in terms of tax burden in the research of IFC and World Bank “Doing Business-2011”.

As it is marked in the document, a Belarusian company is to pay yearly 82 different tax payments, spending on it 798 hours per year. At the same time in Europe and Central Asia the number of payments makes up on average 41,7, time for their calculations - 313,9 hours, on average in OECD countries correspondingly 14,2 payments and 199,3 hours, AFN writes.

According to the estimation of the research authors, income tax in Belarus makes up 22% of income (in Europe and Central Asia - 9,8%, in OECD countries – 16,8%), together with payments for salary - 39,3% of income (22,9% and 23,3% correspondingly).

A common tax rate in Belarus makes up 80,4% of income against 41,2% in Europe and Central Asia and 43% in OECD countries.
