The Finnish Border Guard has published additional information about the investigation into the incident involving violation of the country's border by Russian aircraft.

It occurred on June 10 in the Loviisa maritime area.

Initially it was reported that the border was violated by one plane. However, Finnish border guards said today that there were reasons to suspect that three more aircraft had crossed the border.

“It is believed that the incursion was carried out by a force of four aircraft, which included two bombers and two fighters. In the deepest case, the territorial violation extended to the Finnish side for 2.5 km,” the Finnish service said.

The investigation is ongoing. Its results will be reported additionally.

It is not specified which planes violated the border.
