Criminal Proceedings Opened Against Former Deputy Energy Minister Mikhadziuk

The man is in a pretrial detention center.

Lukashenka announced that a criminal case had been opened against former Deputy Minister of Energy Mikhail Mikhadziuk. The defendant is currently in a pretrial detention center.

According to his press service, the case was opened for “favorable resolution of issues related to the selection of a foreign company as a contractor for the construction and modernization of high-voltage substations in Belarus.”

Deputy Minister of Energy Mikhail Mikhadziuk was dismissed on December 28 last year. He held the post of Deputy Minister of Energy of Belarus for 18 years.
