Large Shipment Of Tanks, Patriot Arrives In Ukraine

Kyiv received a large batch of armaments from another ally country - Spain. The military aid package included what the Ukrainian Defence Forces need the most at the moment.

This was reported by the Spanish edition of El Mundo, citing sources in the government.

It is reported that the weapons arrived in Ukraine last week, on June 21.

There are missiles to the US Patriot anti-aircraft systems among the weapons handed over by the Spaniards. The Ukrainians are in dire need of them to intercept Russian missiles.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported about the agreements reached with Madrid on strengthening the Ukrainian air defence, but the details are still kept secret.

In addition to Patriot missiles, the military aid package included Leopard 2A4 tanks, 155 mm artillery shells, jammers for drones, tracking systems, remote-controlled turrets and other items.

This is the second delivery of arms by the Spaniards to Ukraine this month.
